While everyone is obsessing over pumpkin spice lattes, We are craving these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies courtesy of George Duran. Baking is therapeutic and what better way to embrace fall essentials, like pumpkins, than with cookies!
These easy and tasty treats are packed with flavor and aren't as sweet as you'd expect--the spice of the pumpkin compliments the chocolate super well! Now for the good part, the full recipe:

Notes:
-Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Ingredients:
- 2 sticks of unsalted butter (1 cup)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup of light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of canned pumpkin puree
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups of milk chocolate chips
- parchment paper or non-stick cooking spray
Directions:
- Line a baking sheet(s) with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray
- Using a mixer, beat the butter until smooth
- Slowly beat in both white and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy
- Beat in 1 egg at a time, then add in your vanilla extract and pumpkin puree
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and cloves
- Slowly beat the flour mixture into the batter in thirds then add chocolate chips
- Generously scoop tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets
- Bake until cookies are golden brown
- Let the cookies rest for at least 2 minutes before serving for the best results
