The Flower Leaf Collection takes its inspiration from the intricacies of form and texture found in flowers from around the world. Each Michael Aram metal object undergoes a series of grinding, buffing, and polishing techniques. Variations or ‘imperfections’ in the product’s finish are characteristic of the creation process. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

I love the contrast of the natural polished metal on the outside of these pieces with the enameled color on the inside. Michael is highly inspired by his surroundings and often makes sculptures of objects that might otherwise be overlooked in the everyday. Nature is his biggest muse, as is the handmade process.
